Where Edges Meet
We strive to build homes that bring joy to the homeowners in small ways every day. One way we do this is through precise finish details. Something unexpectedly beautiful can happen when the planes of materials meet and make a line or a corner. Geometric grace and harmony are revealed when edges are constructed with proper care and craftsmanship.
Two details from a home we built illustrate this idea beautifully.
Perfectly mitered steel corner
In the first picture, the precise steel fabrication of a cube-shaped table with rounded corners resulted in a perfect three-pointed star.
A graceful and precise sheetrock corner
In the second photo, a wall corner turns 180 degrees to become an inside edge of a ceiling soffit. Because the angles are cleanly executed, the six-pointed corner becomes a design-enhancing detail.
